Terms and Conditions The service offered by LawWorks is on an “information-only” basis. We are not acting in the capacity of legal advisors nor as their agents. LawWorks is merely relaying to you information provided to LawWorks by third parties and cannot comment on its reliability, suitability or accuracy for any purpose. Neither we nor our advisors shall be liable, in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence), statutory duty, collaterally or otherwise for any loss, damage, costs, expenses or other liability which may arise from or in connection with (a) the reliability, suitability or accuracy of the information provided to you; and / or (b) any decision or action you take or fail to take in reliance on the advice you receive via us. This is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to loss or damage of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties. Notwithstanding the foregoing, none of the exclusions and limitations above are intended to limit any rights you may have as a consumer under local law or other statutory rights which may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude our liability to you for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or that of our employees or agents. Please be aware that this service is not intended to serve as a substitute for obtaining independent legal advice from an appropriately qualified advisor and you should consult a qualified solicitor if you wish to verify any information or advice provided. Data Protection In order to submit your question, you will need to complete a simple enquiry form. By completing this enquiry form, you will be providing LawWorks (“We” or “Us”) with information about yourself which may constitute “personal data” (for example, your email address, name, postal address) and/or “sensitive personal data” (for example, information on racial/ethnic origin/religious beliefs or medical records) for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998. This information (defined here as “Personal Data”) may include your personal details as well as details about the nature of your legal enquiry.
In order to process your enquiry, we will need to transfer your Personal Data to one or more advisors who will then provide a response. Our communication with you and to the advisors will be by email via the Internet. We cannot guarantee the confidentiality of information passed over the Internet and you should be aware of this when asking your question. We will not transfer your Personal Data outside of the European Economic Area. Completion and submission of the enquiry form constitutes explicit consent to the use of your Personal Data in the manner outlined above. If you do not consent to the use of your Personal Data, you will not be able to proceed with your enquiry. You have a right of access to the Personal Data that you have submitted to us or that has been generated during your use of our services. Any request for access to the Personal Data held by us will be subject to the payment of a fee of up to £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you. We warrant that we will only use your Personal Data in compliance with all applicable data protection law and will take appropriate technical and organisational measures against the unauthorised or unlawful processing of Personal Data and against the accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, your Personal Data. |
